TAKE WING AND SOAR PRODUCTIONS and VOZA RIVERS/NEW HERITAGE THEATRE GROUP present The Harlem Shakespeare Festival’s all-female, multi-racial THE TRAGEDY OF OTHELLO: The Moor of Venice, starring Debra Ann Byrd as Othello and Mary Chieffo as Iago, at the Dorothy Maynor Theater, 409 West 141st Street, Harlem, NYC (at Corner of St. Nicholas Avenue), Nov. 6-22.
Tony Award winning actress and director Trezana Beverley helms the cast which also features Daniela Maria Amador, Susan Barrett*, Christine Campbell*, Amy Driesler*, Mary Hodges*, Maria Hoffman*, Karen Holland, Claire Jamison, Penny Landau*, Liz Morgan*, Remington Moses, Beverley Prentice, Paola Soto and Natasha Yannacañedo*.
The creative and production team includes dramaturgy & text work by Dathan B. Williams, fight director Denise Hurd, sound design by David Wright, costume designer by Gail Cooper-Hecht, production stage manager Norman Small, asst. stage manager Julius Hollingsworth, director of volunteer services LaZette McCants and PR by MAYA PR/Penny Landau.
Tickets are $18 and can be purchased online. Opening night is Tuesday, November 10th at 7pm. Opening night gala tickets, which includes the performance and party, are $100 and can be purchased here. (Box Office opens 1 hour before curtain)

Lia Chang
Lia Chang is an award-winning filmmaker, a Best Actress nominee, a photographer, and an award-winning multi-platform journalist. Lia has appeared in the films Wolf, New Jack City, A Kiss Before Dying, King of New York, Big Trouble in Little China, The Last Dragon, Taxman and Hide and Seek, which will screen at the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival on November 21st.
