Chapman Roberts writes, “We will gather in front of the Majestic Theatre on 44 Street between Broadway and Eighth, where Norm Lewis is playing to packed houses as THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and the widely unpredicted success of THE WIZ miraculously infused new light into the previously darkened bowels of the paradoxically “UnMajestic” Majestic Theatre, simultaneously making it possible for scores of African American performers to acquire their Equity cards and plant their feet solidly on the Yellow Brick Road to realizing their dreams of successfully appearing on Broadway.Members of the now historic Carnegie Hall cast of The Black Stars of the Great White Way Broadway Reunion Concert and Times Square photograph and family and friends of Geoffrey, Carmen, and Leo will be in full attendance. COLORFUL FESTIVE DRESS wielding COLORFUL SCARVES to WAVE in the Grand Celebratory Style, which is The Magnificent Legacy of the Irreplaceable and Incomparable Master of The Higher Arts, Sir Geoffrey Holder. Please Share The Joy of Geoffrey. “
